Dianne Long's "He's Just My Dad" is an example of a good idea done with perfect execution by the perfect person.

This coffee table book about famous athletes and their kids is great fun. And, while the kids quotes and the pictures and the terrific short biographies are colorful and upbeat; there is also a sense of poignancy in the book/5(4). I guess the reading skill level of the book depends on your children, but my 4 yr old re-read it after we were done and it was something my 8 yr old could finish in about 5 min.

They also read and re-read it many times before we returned the book. With the colorful pictures, imaginative story line, and rhyming dialogue, this is a great kids book/5(5). Get this from a library. Atomic Ace: (he's just my dad).

[Jeff Weigel] -- In this rhyming story told in comic book format, a boy considers his family normal, though his superhero dad, Atomic Ace, does amazing feats, even battling the evil Insect King.

So what's it like living with Atomic Ace, a dad who battles robots and can fly. It's not as weird as you might think--after all, Ace is always there to fix Saturday lunch and play ball with his son.

Mom is just Mom and Dad is just Dad--they're a normal family. And a normal dad can sometimes mess up. That's what happens when Atomic Ace meets his ruthless nemesis, Insect King. This normal family Author: Jeff Weigel.

“Just Me and My Dad” is special because little critter thinks he is taking care of his dad on a camping trip when in reality it is the other way around.

I also appreciate the fact the Hes just my dad! book I might be a little bias in my liking for this book because little critter books take me back to good memories from my childhood/5.

My Dad Thinks He's Funny, is told from the perspective of a little boy. Each page begins with the statement, My dad thinks hes funny. Admittedly, most of these corny saying are ones we adults have heard over and over again, but if you think back to childhood, some of them were pretty darn funny and made for special memories with our dad/5.

He's Just My Dad. is an engaging collection of more than captivating photographs featuring celebrity athletes and their children. Diane Long's interviews of the athletes and their families provide revealing, humorous and sometimes surprising insights into the parenting style of these sports legends.

has this been done yet. I'm just gonna walk away and leave this here. The kids and I had so much fun making this darling “All About My Dad” book for my husband. Each page has fun prompts that the kids can answer about their dads, and you can customize it as little or as much as you’d like.

"It's about my dad." I said. "How does you being able to hold up a cybertronian have anything to do with your dad?" She asked impatiently. She just wanted me to get to the point. "My dad happens to be a Cybertronian." I said as a-matter-of-fact-ly.

She was quiet for a moment, both her and Raf looked shocked. "Wait, what?" she said. "You heard me. I went home that evening like normal. My dad apparently had to be back on the nemesis. I went to sleep with out a second thought. School was normal for the most part. Well, except for the fact that Miko and Raf were questioning me. I think the others told them about me keeping secrets.

Miko was the one who pressed the hardest. She wouldn't shut up about it. Jul 7, - Just Me and My Dad - Book Extension Activities (PreK & K) from City Teacher Goes Country on - (11 pages) - 6 different Prek & Kinder lessons to go with the book by Mercer Mayer "Just Me and My Dad".
